Florida announced the creation of new state license plates this weekend, that includes the “Don’t Tread on Me” flag, which seems fitting, given the state’s newfound status as a destination for personal freedom.
Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) has been a champion of freedom since the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020, opening Florida for business much earlier than most other states.
Florida doubled down on its identity as a freedom-loving state recently, by making these license plates to further honor these sentiments.
DeSantis tweeted about the news, further highlighting the importance of messaging.
